I am not the type of person who likes to experiment with different kinds of foods. I like my pasta, burgers and tacos just fine, and I have always thought that was experimental enough for me. A friend of mine invited me to have Thai food in Fremont with her, and I decided to go. I figured that there had to be something on the menu that I would like, even if it was not the traditional foods that I normally eat. I had no idea what was going to be on the menu until I got there, so I was pleasantly surprised.
The two of us usually have an appetizer when we eat out together. Usually, it is something like zucchini planks or onion rings, so seeing things like shrimp rolls, curry puffs, and fried tofu on the appetizer page of the menu was a bit startling. I had heard of tofu, but I had never tried it….
